LOS ANGELES, Jan 14, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VCSY) announced today the official launch of their Chinese Portal TheChinaBridge.com. The portal is to offer Chinese web surfers an Internet search engine, free e-mail, electronic shopping, online chat, news, sports, online radio, and a business center. The introduction of TheChinaBridge.com is the first in a series of new international portals currently being developed by Vertical Computer Systems. Current plans are to develop a series of portals in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim. TheChinaBridge.com competes with Chinese portals, China.com, Yahoo! China, Excite China and Cathay Online.
